Copaiba essential oil is derived from the resin of the copaiba tree which can grow upwards of more than 100 feet and can be found in tropical South America. Copaiba oil is widely used in cosmetic products including soaps, creams, lotions, and perfumes. Since the 16th century, copaiba essential oil has been utilized in traditional health practices by the natives of north and northeastern Brazil. Similar to Black Pepper essential oil, Copaiba can help soothe anxious feelings and it can be applied to the skin to promote a clear, smooth complexion.

- Aromatic: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of choice.
- Internal: Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid.
- Topical: Dilute one to two drops with a carrier oil, then apply to desired area. See additional precautions below.

CBD or Copaiba Essential Oil? Differences and why they are indeed different and why I believe Copaiba is the better choice
When Copaiba was first introduced, I have never heard of it before - when Dr. Hill went more and more in depth about this beautiful oil, I quickly realized how special it really is. It is affordable and a simple MUST HAVE in every home!
Did you know that Copaiba contains cannabinoids? There is so much hype out there about CBD oil but really when it comes to the effectiveness, it is more of a hit or miss.
Here is the reason why I think Copaiba is the better choice.
Copaiba contains cannabinoids but it does not contain psychoactive cannabinoids. The main cannabinoid component is beta-caryophyllene (BCP) which studies show can be neuroprotective and have cardiovascular and immune benefits. Copaiba is also a powerful antioxidant that promotes immune health. BCP is great because it does not interact with CB1 receptors. That means it won’t make us have a ‘drug high.’ It’s a cannabinoid that has influential effects on CB2 receptors and a host of promising therapeutic benefits. CB2 receptors help with your endocrine system and immune system.
Endocannabinoid System: Endocannabinoids and the receptors that they communicate with to induce physiological responses are found all throughout the body. Your brain, vital organs, immune cells, and even connective tissue contain endocannabinoid receptors, which are tasked with maintaining the stability of our body’s internal processes while dealing with fluctuations in the external environment.
